DAVIER PÉREZ ORTEGA
THE MIRAGE THEORY
Born in 1988 and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Ortega began playing drums at the age of 15. Ortega began playing in the local scene at the age of 18 and became known for his complex footwork, visual dynamics and technical style demonstrated in his projects: The Mirage Theory, Makara, and Pit Fight Demolition.
After years of playing in the Puerto Rican scene, releasing LP’s with The Mirage Theory and Pit Fight Demolition, Davier decided to re-locate to Riverside, California to further his musical career.
Since the move, he became a touring hired gun/studio drummer and joined Great American Ghost. Filed in on drums for bands like Dayseeker and Fit For An Autopsy, drum-tech/worked for bands like Chelsea Grin, Winds of Plague, Prong, Sepultura, Static X, DOPE, Amity Affliction, Lords of Acid, and Praga Khan.
